- All I/C powered aircraft must be tested for noise emissions in accordance with the Department of Environment regulations i.e. 82 dB maximum at 7 metres. No aircraft may be flown until a certificate showing it conforms with the regulations has been issued. If ANY changes are subsequently made (prop, silencer, engine etc) the aircraft must be re-tested to prove compliance before it is flown. Electric powered aircraft will be tested at the discretion of committee members present at the time.
- No more than 3 I/C powered aircraft to be in the air at any one time. 4 aircraft may be flown when one or more is electric powered.
- All flying must be to the West of the line shown in the diagram below. The only exception to this is on takeoff or landing when the wind direction dictates – and models must NEVER cross the lane between the patch and the bungalow.
- The first person at the flying field MUST get the peg board and use it – applies to 4+ flyers.
NOTE 1, 2 and 3 above apply to ALL models except chuck gliders, and towline or bungee launched gliders. These may fly to the East of the line when wind direction dictates but models must never cross the lane or overfly the Mercury/Leydene Park areas.
