One of the most important assets of any model club is its flying field or ‘Patch’. To ensure the continued use of this location for flying, there are a number club rules and regulations, see club rules.
The club flying field is located just outside Clanfield near the Sustainability Centre. There are outstanding views over north Hampshire and south to the Isle of Wight.

To keep numbers at the flying field manageable the club has a restricted membership, but the current numbers are always varying.

Please keep a very careful lookout for horses at all times and ALWAYS keep well away from them. If you see horses approaching make sure anyone that is flying at the time is made aware of their presence.
NEVER take-off towards horses, they only take a few minutes to pass.
Directions to the Patch
Coming from the A3 take the turning to Clanfield which is Chalton Lane. Drive into the village, you will see the Rising Sun Public House on the right hand side of the road. Turn right after the pub onto East Meon Road signed posted for the Sustainability Centre. Drive out of the village climbing the hill for about 1.5 miles.
Turn left towards Droxford and Warnford towards the Sustainability Centre. After about half a mile you will pass some large houses on your right and the Sustainability Centre on your left. Carry on and pass the Leydene Garden Nursery. Turn left after the nursery at the end of the hedge. This will take you onto a farm track. Drive down the farm track.
The flying field is on your right hand side. Continue down the track and park near the barn, ensuring farm gates and tracks are not obscured.
Please ensure when entering and leaving the field that the gate is closed.
